Maclean Ildikó

I graduated from Kossuth Lajos University in Debrecen in 1994 majoring in Biology and Chemistry. I started teaching in a vocational school in the II. District, training future chemists. Couple years later I had an offer to join the staff of the BME ISGS in 1997 together with my husband. Ever since I started teaching (including the practice teaching during the university years) it became essential for me. My aim is to help students to increase their vocabulary in addition to their subject knowledge.

In addition to biology and chemistry, I took a challenge and completed English Language and Literature (MA) at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary.

I have been teaching SL and HL Biology since 2015 as part of our IB team. Joining the IB Diploma Programme allowed me to broaden my methods which I work on implementing in the regular bilingual system as well.
Besides teaching I help Ildiko Varga, our principal to manage the life of the school since 2005 as one of the vice principals.

I love to travel and go to theater in my free time.
