CAMBRIDGE EXAMINATIONS AT OUR SCHOOL
Since our school was founded more than twenty years ago, we have offered our students the opportunity to sit for one of the Cambridge examinations for the English language.
The Cambridge English language examinations are internationally recognised qualifications. They are regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), and have been written to the highest standard, with the global learner in mind.
Cambridge English examinations are respected and accepted internationally. They provide the most reliable reflection of a student's language skills. They also cover all major varieties of English (e.g. British English, American English, Australian English), are designed to be fair to users of all nationalities, cultures and linguistic backgrounds and can be taken by people with a wide range of special requirements. There are no age restrictions for the Cambridge exams. Today, native speakers of English can also take Cambridge exams, which has proved popular at our school, especially for the exams aimed at the higher levels.
Cambridge English exams are accepted by over 15,000 universities, employers and governments around the world. Our students take the exams to open doors to higher education, as well as improve their employment opportunities.
At our school, we encourage students to take one of the more advanced level examinations, including Cambridge: First, Cambridge: Advanced, and Cambridge: Proficiency. Universities, employers and governments around the world usually ask for one of these as proof of attainment in English.
We are very proud of the level of English that students attain at our school, and success at Cambridge examinations is a reflection of this. In recent years, our students have taken the highest level Cambridge examinations, namely Advanced and Proficiency, with a one hundred percent success rate, some students even achieving the highest possible grades.

TOEFL
In order that the students can be better prepared for studying outside of Hungary, the school offers TOEFL preparation courses as well as registration for taking the tests in Hungary. TOEFL exams are used to determine eligibility for study in higher education institutes in North America. For more details see www.ets/toefl.
Final examination so called „ÉRETTSÉGI"
„Érettségi” is the name of the final exam students take after completing the requirements of the secondary school. The final examination can be taken at middle or higher level, and the result affects their possibilities for entering into univerities in Hungary. However it is good to know that for being accepted sometimes a successful higher level „érettségi” is compulsory. It is common in the school that in some subjects (as in English or Hungarian language) students take an early „érettségi” in the second or third grade.
